The wedding is at Eureka Lodge, and the nearest town is Silverton, Colorado - about a 20-25 minute drive down a mountain valley.
Silverton is a small town of 800 people in the mountains at 9,300 ft elevation. Keep in mind that this is a small town so you should plan to bring everything you need with you. There are restaurants, hotels, bars, etc. but options will be limited. We recommend you find some time over the weekend to walk up main street and drive around the old part of town as there are some unique, historical buildings from the late 1800s that are still used today.
Besides Silverton, the next closest towns are Durango (1.5 hr drive south) and Ouray (pronounced you-ray) 1 hr north. The wedding location is remote!
There is a small general store in town (SILVERTON GROCERY) that has grocery, alcohol, home goods, basic pharmacy, pre-made and to-go food, etc.
GOLDEN BLOCK BREWERY - Local brewery and restaurant with fantastic wood-fired pizza, sandwiches, soup, and salads. This is a popular spot so plan ahead!
KENDALL MOUNTAIN CAFE - Local's favorite brunch spot! Note that lines and wait times can get long on weekends.
THE PICKLE BARREL - Unique lunch spot for a quick sandwich. Fun fact: this building was the town's first masonry commercial structure built back in 1880! It cameod as a saloon, then an ice cream parlor, and now a family-run restaurant!
ELEVATED COFFEE COMPANY - Local coffee shop that also serves ice cream and bakery.
LACEY ROSE SALOON - Old-timey saloon with cocktails, food, and a lot of history. If you're lucky, you'll catch some live, ragtime piano or the bartender telling you the store of the bullet holes in the bar!
