Eureka Lodge is located about 8 miles north of Silverton on the Alpine Loop and sits on 40 acres surrounded by Forest Service or BLM land. Built in the 1920's as a mining boarding hotel, it was originally a part of the Martin Mining Complex that included over 100 mine claims. Bob and Terri have worked to restore this lodge and turn it into a beautiful event venue for weddings and family gatherings.
Expect "rustic comfort" at this mountain retreat where you can uplug and unwind.
There is no cell service or TV at the lodge, but it is equipped with Starlink wifi. The wifi should be strong enough for messages and calls, but don't plan on streaming a movie or taking a video call. We encourage you to use this time to unplug and enjoy the surrounding nature!
There is room for about 8-10 cars in a parking lot next to the lodge. There is also overflow parking 1/4 mile up the road. Most of you renting cars should be able to park at the lodge directly, but we may have to move the cars to the overflow parking area on Sunday to accommodate the wedding vendors.
The lodge has been renovated with rustic bedrooms. Most of the bedrooms are fairly cozy (read: small), they have a single queen-sized bed and dresser. There will be a small clothes hanger for you to hang clothing. All of the bedrooms are located on the 3rd floor of the lodge and must be accessed by stairs.
The lodge has shared bathrooms only. There are 5 shared bathrooms throughout the lodge, 3 of which are of the 3rd floor by the bedrooms. All 3 bathrooms on the 3rd floor have showers, and soap/shampoo/conditioner and towels are provided. If shared bathrooms are not your thing, no worries - you can find some accommodation in Silverton only 20 minutes away (see LODGING for more details).
The lodge has 1 iron and Mo & Erin will be bringing 1 steamer, which will be reserved on Sunday afternoon. If you need to iron or steam your clothes, please try to find time on Friday or Saturday!
The lodge does have a guest kitchen. We will provide all food and beverages for the weekend except the meals explicitly called out in the SCHEDULE , but feel free to store any additional food or drinks in the communal kitchen area. Feel free to grab a beverage or a snack at any time! Food reserved for a specific meal or event will be labelled clearly.
Don't miss exploring the library on the 2nd floor - it's full of antiques, unique books and relics from the mining days. If you're musically inclined, there is also a piano!
There are several dining/lounge areas spread throughout, including multiple outdoor patios, a bar and a pool table!
There is a 8-person hot tub onsite. I know everyone will want a turn in the chilly mornings or evenings - don't forget to share! For those staying onsite, there will be towels and robes in your bedrooms but there are no seperate beach towels for outdoor use. You can use the towels or robes from your room and exchange the towel for a fresh one at any time when the staff is onsite.
