As many other COVID couples did, we met online in 2021. We skipped the "casual dating" phase and when Mo was asked by Erin to go on a spontaneous, international trip to Dominica after only a few months of dating, he said yes! Within a short timespan Mo learned how to scuba dive, Erin learned how to rock-climb, and both of us were fully invested in each other's lives. We moved to Silverthorne, Colorado in December of 2022 and have been enjoying the Rocky Mountain wilderness ever since.
We couldn't just settle for a standard proposal, now could we?
A few weeks before our second trip to Dominica, Mo coordinated with dive shop owner Fabian about his master plan - to unearth a treasure chest at the bottom of the sea and pull out an engagement ring (a phony of course, salt water is not kind to jewelry). While the treasure chest only held an Amazon special inside, a real treasure was still found that day - and the actual ring was presented on the safety of land.
Shoutout to Sherry (Erin's mom) for learning how to use a GoPro underwater and absolutely nailing the footage!

Presenting the real ring which was gifted by Alice (Erin's grandmother) a year prior. Somehow, she knew we would be needing one...
